                The scene begins with a backward tracking shot and a shot reverse shot between the door and the bride. It then cuts to a POV shot of the door, which is then followed by her entering the cameras view she then hears a diegetic sound off screen which is then revealed to be bill by a shot reverse shot, the bride being drawn to the sound of bills flute and her reaction highlights her history with bill as the sounds lure her to bill. Quadrants are employed to show a contrast with the bride and Bill as she is always on the right and he’s always on the left furthermore telling the audience how different the two people are. The medium long shot of the bride with the background in frame show that she has a lot of history behind her. The long shot is the only time the bride appears on the left side of the screen as it is usually occupied exclusively by Bill this could imply that the long history she has, stemmed from the same place as Bill’s and despite the fact they are now very different people who went on completely different paths, they’re lives once met on common ground. The bride and Bill appear on opposite sides of the screen which could suggest that the bride and Bill are two sides of the same coin just as left and right are two sides of the screen. the bride is dressed in white which could show us she is pure which contrasts with bill as he is wearing a black jacket symbolising he has a dark side however he is also wearing a white shirt underneath telling us he also has some good in him but he is unable to show it, this is supported by the dialogue as Bill has a sweet side but the bride is the only one to ever have seen it furthermore supporting Bill has a good side that rarely emerges. The two begin to walk towards each other, while this continues the camera becomes level with their feet so we can no longer see their faces which leaves us exclusively with their voices. The diegetic sound of their creaking footsteps slowly builds up tension as we are left to imagine what is happening above. When Bill mentions that the Bride is pregnant she begins to avoid eye contact with him implying she is unsettled about talking about the baby with Bill as he might have something to do with it. The two eventually meet in the middle with Bill once again on the left and the Bride on the right but now in the same shot symbolising both sides meeting in the middle and joining together. As the tension reaches its peak Bill starts to speak about the brides fiancé only for him to appear off screen causing the bride to abruptly end the conversation, this gives a surprise ending to the tension as the arrival of tommy acts almost like a jump scare to the audience and it demonstrates how the bride has moved on from bill to her future husband as represented by how quickly she abandons the conversation with Bill as soon as tommy arrives
